PRESS RELEASE
2010 INTERNATIONAL LEAD-FREE CHAMPIONSHIP

To:  All Competitors,                                                                                                                                                           01/14/10

International Cartridge Corporation is hosting its fourth annual Lead-Free Championship at the ICC facility in Reynoldsville, PA. It is a “Thank You” to the people who serve our country. We expect even more people this year than last. The dates for this event are Saturday, July 17th and Sunday, July 18th, with a tour of the ammunition plant and barbecue on the evening of Friday, July 16th.

Shooters will compete in six safe and challenging courses of fire.  Shooters will not need to bring guns or ammunition to the match, all will be provided by ICC.  “This match will be something new for most of the shooters that come to compete.  Since no one will be shooting tuned race guns with speed holsters, the playing field will be level.” said Dan Smith, Vice President of Operations for ICC.  “This match is going to give bragging rights to the best tactical shooters, with skills needed in handgun, rifle, carbine, and shotgun.”  Speed, accuracy and gun handling will all be needed to win this match. There will also be a Sniper match sponsored by ICC and Barnes Bullets.

The entry fee for the match is $85.00 per shooter for each individual.  Shooters may sign up a second time for $60.00.  If a shooter wants to shoot one individual course, each stage that is shot again will be $10.00.  The stages that are re-shot will not count for the overall score, but will for the individual stage scores.  For those that want to compete as a team, the stages will be slightly modified to allow two shooter teams to compete.  All team shooters must first compete as individuals.  There will be trophies handed out for High Overall, High Lady, High Team, and one for each individual stage.  All door prizes and any guns that are won will be the result of random drawings.  Each shooter will have a minimum of 6 tickets, and each additional stage shot will earn one more ticket.  There will be drawings for door prizes and all guns on Sunday at the close of the match. On-site registration will begin Friday, July 16th at 4:00 pm, and continue through Saturday and Sunday.  Shooters who pre-register, and send payment in before June 15th will receive a free ticket for the 50/50 match.  Any additional stages shot will be charged the fees stated above.

All competitors must have sworn, reserve, retired, active duty, or retired status with a law enforcement agency.  Current and former military personnel from any branch are also eligible, as are all EMS personnel, fire-fighters, emergency room personnel, or any other first responder.  Decisions concerning eligibility of a competitor are up to the Match Directors and are final.  Any shooters with questions should contact ICC for clarification before coming to the match.

A list of the firearms that will be used in the match will be updated on the website at www.iccammo.com/match.htm as the information becomes available. At this time, it has been determined that AR-15 type rifles, and Mossberg 12 gauge shotguns will be used. Handguns are S&W, Glock, & Para USA. A list of prizes will also be posted and updated frequently. All firearms used in the match will be suitable for law enforcement use and will have standards features.

Any additional information will be posted on the website, or contact Mike Hetrick or Dan Smith at ICC ammo.
